Q: What type
of video player
will my video
appear on?
A:
Windows Media
Player. This
system uses true
streaming, so
you won't have
to wait for your
video to
download. |
|
|
|
 |
Q: Why
Windows Media
Player?
A:
Windows Media
Player is 100%
compatible with
all computers
using the
Microsoft
Windows
operating
platform. There
is also a free
version
available to Mac
users. To insure
the best
possible quality
of video
delivery,
DexKnows video
is "streamed" -
this means that
data is sent in
a continual
stream to your
PC. DexKnows
video is
delivered in a
multiple
bandwidth format
- this means
that on the
Microsoft
Windows platform
computer you'll
view the best
possible video
for your
connection
speed. |
|
|
|
 |
Q: Does it
matter what type
of Internet
connection I
have?
A:
DexKnows video
plays on both
dial-up and
broadband
connections. The
size and clarity
of the video
will vary with the
users connection
speed and, in
some cases,
their PCs
operating system
and CPU. The
lower the speed
the smaller the
video. The
quality and size
of video is
directly related
to the amount of
bandwidth
available (often
known as
connection
speed). Dial-up
connections are
slow, while
cable modems,
DSL lines (a
service provided
by Qwest to
consumers) and
LAN (local area
networks) are
generally very
fast. |

Q: How do I
get DexKnows
Video to work
with Firefox?
A: You'll
need to download
and install the
Netscape
Navigator
"plug-in".
Firefox uses
plug-ins to play
video. Once this
has been
installed on
your PC,
DexKnows Videos
will play in the
Firefox browser.
